Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for the past forty years. She is most famous because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). The actress began her career as a stage artist during the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she performed in a number of Broadway productions before she became the most famous on stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. Within the same calendar year she released her first music album called It's Tina Time. Louise was first seen in Hollywood as God's Little Acre a drama released in 1958. She performed the role of Griselda who was a character from the movie. During this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The year 1964 saw her signing with CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in more realistic roles as in contrast to her portrayal of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the past few years has made a name as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Her family moved to Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for her childhood and teenage years. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver in Canada following her choice to play the lead.
