David Muir is an American anchor and journalist most well-known for his ABC news show World News Tonight with David Muir and for his role in the ABC News magazine 20/20, for where he acts as anchorman and anchor and co-anchor. The dramatic footage on video and the animated movements has made it the top seen newscast in America. Made In America was nominated for an Emmy. Before his appointment as ABC World News Tonight's anchor Sawyer was Sawyer's main replacement. He was a reporter on a variety of primetime ABC News specials, including Breaking Point - Heroin in America. The reporter has covered stories from all over the globe, including in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. His awards include multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards, as well as distinctions from The Associated Press.
