Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback), her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. She was not allowed to begin acting with her parents till she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the strain it might create. Perry acknowledged that she was not comfortable acting in high school, but started acting to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she got small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Homesickness then caused Perry back to California, where theater jobs were available. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 In 2015, she starred with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father played her character in her role on the ABC drama Scandal. The actress was also featured on her role on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The role was selected through an audition, even having a strong connection with it.
